Polly's has been a staple in the Oxford community for years, and it’s easy to see why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. With a menu packed with classic American diner fare, it’s a perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The relaxed vibe and no-frills setting make it an ideal choice for those who appreciate good food in a laid-back environment.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice the charm of the place. The vintage décor, combined with the friendly atmosphere, adds a sense of warmth that’s hard to find at chain restaurants. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a place to connect and enjoy simple pleasures.

The menu at Polly's Variety Store is full of comfort food classics, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. One of the standout items is their "Polly’s Special," a breakfast platter that combines eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast, all cooked to perfection. It's hearty enough to fuel you through the day but light enough to leave you satisfied without feeling overly full.

For lunch and dinner, Polly's serves up an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and fresh salads. The classic diner burger is a crowd favorite, but if you’re craving something a bit different, try the grilled chicken sandwich or their homemade meatloaf. Each dish is prepared with care, and it’s clear that the kitchen values quality over quantity. The portions are generous, ensuring that you’ll get your money’s worth with each meal.

Polly’s also knows how to cater to those with a sweet tooth. Their homemade pies and desserts are the perfect way to end any meal. The desserts alone make Polly’s a place worth visiting again and again.

The Chewy Deluxe is my favorite, so far! I have more to try. Great spot to stop in and grab a bite with tables and a little barside seating too! New to the area and this is definitely my new favorite place to pop into.

Called to make sure that their ATM was working they said if it’s not we’ll give you cash back instead, ok cool! Walked all the way there, the ATM had an error and they don’t take EBT. Next time you should just tell people the truth when they call you and then maybe then they could pay for their sandwiches, I guess I’m not the asshole in this situation. Still a shop I go to a lot though, Great food great atmosphere, great staff. I’m sorry I had you cook for no reason.

Visited during a road trip from CT to Maine, and got some free pizza, cookie, and a lotto ticket. Had to say no to the free hot chocolate and meeting with Santa since we're on a time constraint but it was absolutely amazing! 10/10

This is exactly what you would hope for in a market like this. You have the sassy chef, and the regulars coming in and out. There is limited bar seats, but those look like they are there while you wait for your food. I think it would be awkward if you sat down to eat there. We got a Rubin, ultimate grilled cheese, jalapeño poppers, broccoli poppers and a piece of cake. All of them were good, and while the grilled cheese was unique (bacon, cheese, cheese sticks, and sweet chili sauce) all of the fried food that we ordered got a bit too heavy. I hope to be able to try a couple other items, especially the pizza.
